The area of Sitia is known for excellent quality Olive oil. The European Union has included the Sitia region in the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) system for the protection and promotion of this particular Olive oil.
The special composition of the soil and the microclimate of the area with a lot of sunshine, hot summers, mild winters, little rainfall and predominant winds create the perfect conditions for growing Koroneiki olives.

Mihalis olive groves is a small family business mainly engaged in olive growing and Olive oil production. The idea of launching our own brand of Olive oil on the market has been discussed for several years, but initially we focused on the quality of the Olive oil we produce.
